“Web 2.0″ refers to a perceived second generation of web development and design, that facilitates communication, secure information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web.
Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and applications; such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, and etc.
According to Tim Reilly,
“Web2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as a platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform”
McKinsey has published a report on Feb 2009 on “Six ways to make Web 2.0 work”, which give great insights about Web 2.0 technology as the next wave of enterprise-technology adoption, some core Web 2.0 technologies participation and some six new management capabilities that can be unlocked by these participating technologies.

My personal opinion about the Web2.0 tech is that they are truely amazing in the way it enables me to connect to my friends, family, colleages and partners in a effective and easier manner. Thats the core objective and central theme of this concept.
